The Canary Islands

Spanish Canary Islands are an archipelago located 100-300 km of the west coast of Africa and to 1,100 km from the Spanish city of Cadiz, which consists of seven larger islands and several small islets. They stretch over 500 km from east to west and about 200 km from north to south.
The main Canary Islands are Tenerife-the capital Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Fuerteventura-the capital Puerto del Rosario,  Gran Canaria-the capital Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Lanzarote-the capital Arrecife,  La Palma-the capital Santa Cruz de La Palma, La Gomera-the capital San Sebastián de La Gomera, El Hierro-the capital Valverde, La Graciosa, Alegranza and Montaña Clara.






In the Canary Islands you will not find large mammals, and no poisonous snakes or scorpions. Regarding the flora, is unique in that it includes so many species found all over the world, but great many unique endemic species. Canary Islands are an ideal destination to relax on the idyllic beaches of golden sand and black, away from pollution and commotion.
